Tell us about yourself.
Patrick Rhone. I’m your guy for all things Mac at Machine Methods Consulting as well as the Curator for Minimal Mac.

What do you call your business?
Machine Methods Consulting. I thought up the name because I wanted to focus not only on standar break/fix work but more on helping people choose the right methods to get the most out of their machine.

What’s your biggest challenge right now?
Being a business of one. Though that was always my plan and will always be the case, I find myself being spread thin at times. Believe it or not, the consulting business is often times like a supermarket checkout line – the customers come in waves. More often, weeks are either stacked end to end or not at all.

What’s a typical work day for you?
Depends on the above but, when busy, it means seeing 2-3 clients a day and helping with quite a wide variety of issues from Mac troubleshooting and support, training, networking, printer setup and maintenance, etc. If it involves a computer I’m the guy they call to handle it.

Why do you hang out at CoCo?
I have been a champion of the idea of coworking for quite some time.  For me, it is the interaction with others who are freelancing or in otherwise “mobile” businesses. The ability to engage, commiserate and possibly even collaborate with like minded souls is so very valuable for someone like myself who works alone.

What coworking surprises have you had so far?
Just how nice it is to engage with like minded people.

How can people find you on the Internets?
I have a number of “homes.” All with their own themes and purposes:
