Peter Fleck (PF Hyper)

What kind of work do you do?
Web strategy, social web strategy & actual web app development usually with PHP and/or WordPress. I’m also working with my local community on low-cost and inclusive blogging strategies. I’d love to consult with other groups on that topic.

What do you call your business? Why?
PF Hyper. I cut my programming teeth with Hypercard in the last century. When I was a kid I wore PF Flyer sneakers and started wearing them again post-teen – the red ones.

What’s your biggest challenge right now?

Maintaining focus on projects. I spread myself too thin. I also need to keep revenue flowing from contract work or maybe find a real job.

What’s a typical work day for you?
Check news. Check social web. Work on various projects that might include web programming, blogging, research, or going to a meeting.

Why do you hang out at CoCo?
The coworking philosophy just makes sense to me and I want to help nurture it and grow. I like the “real life” contact with folks and the discussions.

What coworking surprises have you had so far?
I haven’t met any jerks in the coworking space yet. There has been in fact no one who I haven’t wanted to sit down and chat with.

How can people find you on the Internets?
I have existed as pfhyper on the nets almost since before time began. pfhyper.com is a good entry point, or google pfhyper, or just go to the blog at pfhyper.com/blog. For my community work, check out sewardprofile.posterous.com.

If you blog, what kinds of topics do you write about?
I made somewhat of a name for myself blogging the Wi-Fi mesh project in Minneapolis along with other wireless and broadband news. I’m more eclectic these days and blog what catches my fancy.
