Google Chairman Eric Schmidt paid us a visit on Nov. 30. We gave him a tour and he then held a round table discussion with three small business owners (plus Don and Kyle). Afterwards, he held a quick press conference, at which he praised the Mayor and the city for its tangible support of projects like CoCo.

During his visit, Mr. Schmidt met the Naiku crew, Dave Allen and Toby Cryns, Matt Woesthoff of The Foundation and Jason Burnett and Chuck Olsen of The Uptake.

Check out the resulting media coverage (or see the page CoCo member Joseph Rueter put together using his cool megablogging platform Rifr!):

12 Stars Media, an Indianapolis-based media production company, paid us a visit recently. Host Teke O’Reilly had stopped by on his day off with no intention of conducting an interview. But when pressed into duty, he pulled it off brilliantly! Watch the video to see Teke in action.

WCCO reporter Natalie Kane visited CoCo Minneapolis in October and produced a splendid piece about coworking at CoCo. She interviewed some of our members, including Valerie Wilcox-Esqueda and Shawn Wickam. Click through for the full article and video.

Strib readers, welcome to CoCo!

Strib readers, welcome to CoCo!

If you read about us in the Star Tribune, you might be asking: how does this crazy thing called coworking actually work?

Here’s a quick bit of orientation:

  • We offer multiple plans for people who want to visit a lot…or just a little. See our offerings.
  • We’re in Lowertown St. Paul.* See our map/directions page
  • Our hours are M-F, 9-5. You’re free to visit anytime to check us out. No appointment necessary.
  • We are coming to Minneapolis. Hope to open the doors on a cool, centrally located space by Jan. 1.

*Minneapolitans: St. Paul is that other city you sometimes drive past on your way to/from the Dells. ;-)

Oh, and we should mention that Molly Young and Glen Stubbe did a bang-up job with this article. Thanks!

Frank Jossi of Finance & Commerce came out to visit CoCo a few weeks ago. Last week he published a really nice piece on CoCo and coworking in general. The article features interviews with c0-founder Kyle Coolbroth and members Ted Davis and Matt Lee and also mentions residents Comfy Chair Consulting.
